Manufacturing
Capabilities.

Multi-process precision manufacturing, coordinated and quality-assured under one partner.

The orchestrator model

Any process your part needs — allocated to the best-qualified partner.

TruSkew is not a single shop floor. We're a precision manufacturing orchestrator — engineering and quality are run in-house, while production is routed to the partner in our vetted network best qualified for your part's process, tolerance, material and volume.

That means you don't compromise: every capability listed below is delivered to the same engineering review, the same first-article inspection and the same traceable documentation, regardless of which facility machines the part.

C-01

CNC Turning

Bar and chuck work on Swiss-type, sliding-head and chucker lathes — including multi-axis turn-mill centres with live tooling for one-hit production of complex rotational parts.

Our turning cells run 24/7 across Swiss-type sliders for miniature high-volume parts (Ø 2–32 mm) and chucker lathes for larger diameter work up to Ø 320 mm. Bar feeders and gantry loaders enable lights-out production for repeat orders.

Multi-axis turn-mill centres with Y-axis, sub-spindle and live tooling machine cross-holes, flats, threads and slots in a single setup — eliminating re-fixturing errors and cutting lead time by up to 40% for parts that would otherwise route through both a lathe and a mill.

Typical applications

  • Shafts, spindles, pins, bushings
  • Hydraulic & pneumatic fittings
  • Connector bodies & valve cores
  • Automotive & EV powertrain components

CNC Milling

3-, 4- and 5-axis milling for prismatic and freeform geometries. 5-axis simultaneous machining enables complex aerospace and medical features in a single setup.

Vertical and horizontal machining centres with rigid castings, thermally-compensated spindles and high-pressure through-tool coolant handle everything from aluminium prototype brackets to titanium impellers.

5-axis simultaneous strategies keep the tool tip normal to complex surfaces, reducing setups from four or five down to one and holding true position on datum-critical features like turbine blades, orthopaedic implants and mould cores.

Typical applications

  • Medical instruments & implants
  • Mould tooling & jigs / fixtures
  • Defence sub-components

Precision Grinding

Cylindrical, surface and centerless grinding for hardened components requiring tight tolerances, fine surface finishes and high geometric accuracy.

CBN and vitrified aluminium-oxide wheels remove material at the micron scale while holding roundness under 1 µm and cylindricity within IT3–IT5. Coolant is temperature-controlled to eliminate thermal drift on long shafts.

Centerless grinding handles high-volume shafts and pins in continuous through-feed; surface grinding produces flat, parallel and perpendicular datum faces on hardened tooling and die plates.

Typical applications

  • Motor shafts & rotor cores
  • Bearing rings & races
  • Spindles & ground pins
  • Hydraulic spool valves

Wire EDM & Spark Erosion

Wire EDM and sinker (die-sink) EDM for intricate profiles, deep cavities, narrow slots and hardened-material features that conventional cutting can't reach.

Because EDM removes material by spark erosion — not mechanical force — post-hardened tool steels, carbide and exotic alloys can be cut without softening or deflection. Wire diameters down to 0.10 mm produce internal corners with sub-25 µm radii.

Sinker EDM burns cavities from custom-graphite or copper electrodes, ideal for mould inserts, rib features and blind pockets that no mill can reach. Multi-pass finishing brings surfaces to Ra 0.2 µm without secondary polishing.

Typical applications

  • Press tools, dies & punches
  • Aerospace fir-tree slots
  • Medical surgical features
  • Precision profile cut-outs

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Fibre laser cutting, CNC press-brake bending, MIG / TIG / spot welding and finishing — from one-off enclosures to high-volume formed parts.

High-power fibre lasers cut mild steel up to 20 mm and stainless up to 12 mm with clean, dross-free edges — no secondary deburring needed on most gauges. Nesting software drives sheet utilisation above 85%.

Downstream press brakes with CNC back-gauges, robotic welding cells and integrated powder-coat lines convert flat blanks into fully finished enclosures, brackets and structural weldments under one roof.

Typical applications

  • Industrial enclosures & cabinets
  • EV battery trays & brackets
  • Defence housings & panels
  • Ducting & frame assemblies

Heat Treatment

Through-hardening, case-hardening, induction hardening, tempering and stress relieving — process-controlled to your drawing's hardness and case-depth spec.

Sealed-quench and vacuum furnaces deliver repeatable metallurgy with minimal distortion and no decarburisation. Recipes are dialled in for each grade and geometry, then locked and traceable batch-to-batch.

Induction hardening lets us harden only the wear zones — journals, cam lobes, gear teeth — while keeping the core tough and machinable. Every batch ships with hardness and, on request, micro-hardness case-depth reports.

Typical applications

  • Hardened shafts & gears
  • Wear surfaces on tooling
  • Stress relieving for welded fab
  • Spring tempering

Materials

  • Case-hardening steels (16MnCr5)

Surface Finishing

Decorative and functional coatings — corrosion protection, wear resistance, electrical insulation and aesthetic finishes — qualified to your end-application.

Type II and Type III hardcoat anodising, electroplating (Zn, Ni, Cr), black oxide, passivation, powder coat and wet paint are all sourced from qualified process houses with documented bath chemistry and salt-spray data.

Every coating spec — thickness, adhesion, colour, salt-spray hours — is called out on the router and verified on first article. You get a coating certificate, not just a coloured part.

Typical applications

  • Anti-corrosion on outdoor assemblies
  • Cosmetic finishes on consumer parts
  • Hardcoat anodising for wear
  • Electrical isolation on aluminium

Precision Assembly & Sub-assemblies

Mechanical and electro-mechanical sub-assembly with controlled torque, balancing and functional testing. Delivered ready-to-fit to your line.

Sub-assembly bays are ESD-safe, dust-controlled and equipped with digital torque drivers, press-fit stations and dynamic balancing rigs (G2.5–G6.3). Every fastener torque and press force is logged against the serial number.

Functional testing — leak, hi-pot, continuity, rotational run-out — is defined in a signed-off test plan before build. Sub-assemblies arrive at your line kitted, labelled and traceable to raw material heat numbers.

Typical applications

  • Motor shaft + rotor balanced sub-assemblies
  • Valve / actuator builds
  • Gear assemblies & bearing presses
  • Cable harness integration
